How the score is calculated
Google ratings, adjusted for the number of reviews, plus reader votes. The same formula for every restaurant.
How we calculate itAbout Italian cuisine in Bucharest
In Bucharest, 84 Italian restaurants have enough reviews to make the ranking. Nicky's Pizza (9.8) leads the list, followed by AveForchetta (9.5) and Trattoria Garibaldi (9.4).
The top places are mostly in Sector 2, Fundeni, and District 1. If you have an area in mind, filter the city ranking by area and choose from what is left.
Among Italian restaurants you will find trattorias with homemade pasta, pizzerias, and places with a serious wine list. Check whether the pasta is fresh and whether the menu stays short. A twenty-page menu rarely means quality.
Nicky's Pizza has 967 reviews on Google, so its rating carries more weight than that of a recently opened place. Our score takes this into account: volume counts as much as the average.
